HyperTalks
Overview
HyperTalks is a 4-year-old podcast that attempts to capture an image of digital business from diverse, 21st century perspectives. Me and three colleagues took on the challenge of driving the 4th season of this podcast. Over the course of several episodes, I worked on the manuscript for the episodes, edited them, hosted 2 of them and created a variety of marketing collateral for social media.
The Right Crew
The podcast gave me the chance to work with a talented, compassionate and scarily intelligent group of people who also happen to be my really good friends. Through the journey, we worked hard to keep our team effective using team development sessions, road trips and clear communication to become effective.
Hosting wasn’t coasting
Through the course of the season, I hosted two episodes, the 2nd and the 7th. Hearing myself for the first time, I was my biggest critic. Even though I’d hosted a music radio show in India, hearing myself speak over an entire episode was an eye (and ear) opening experience. I did reflect on this and managed to improve on my delivery by the second episode.
Shooting a great cast
One of the best parts about working on the podcast was creating content to promote the episodes. Apart from social media posts, I conceptualised, shot and edited some interesting films around remote working, the subject of our 7th episode.
